The news is surprising. The Prince of Wales (Paris Viii) has announced the departure of Stéphanie Le Quellec. The young woman of 36 years had just yet just getting, the 21st January last, a second Michelin star for the restaurant Scene.
The five-star hotel group Marriott “plans to put in place a new concept in dining”. And indicates in a communiqué that the head “will leave a deep mark on our great home today ready to open a new page in its history”. Which? The press release said no more….
The departure of the winner of season 2 of the contest Top Chef is all the more surprising that she had done the media three weeks ago, as a symbol of the opening of the red Guide to women and young people.
“Rendez-vous is taken for the result!”
Stephanie Le Quellec was the head of the kitchens – open – the five-star Art deco of the avenue George V since its reopening after renovation in 2013. And earned a first star in just nine months, thanks to its cuisine with mediterranean influences. On the occasion of the second star, Michelin said: “The plates are filled with a delicacy and correctness of taste impressive. This distinction crown a little more in the great career of this head of brilliant.”
The head, which will now focus on a personal project, commented on the news via his account Instagram: “today I turn this lovely page of my professional life, in order to open another, more personal in the idea that the kitchen is above all a journey that is intimate and that our beliefs guide our selection. (…) Rendez-vous is taken for the result!”
